TUBULAR SUBFRAME CONNECTORS

HD BOXED SUBFRAME CONNECTORS

Ford's new Mustang platform is a vast improvement over the Fox body with chassis rigidity upgraded over 30%. While this is good news, it is still a uni-body and we are still left with a front and rear subframe that is not connected. BMR subframe connectors take over where the factory left off. Both tubular and boxed designs complete the frame by tying the rear control arm mounts and subframe assembly to the front subframe. The HD boxed subframes go a few steps further by triangulating key structural points together to make a very rigid frame. Available in Black Hammertone or red powdercoat. NOTE: Fits v8 and v6 models. Will also fit convertibles if rear bracing is removed.

  • Tubular subframe connectors are made from 1.75" diameter DOM tubing and 3/16" laser cut mounting plates
  • Boxed subframe connectors are made from heavy duty 1.5"x 2" main tubing and use both 1"x 2" and 1" gussets as well as 3/16" laser cut weld plates.
  • Both designs can be welded without the need to remove interior carpet.
  • Both designs reinforce the rear control arm mount.
  • Both designs retain OE ground clearance.

SFC011 HD Boxed Subframe Connectors $249.95 pr.
SFC012 Tubular Subframe Connectors $149.95 pr.

TUBULAR K-MEMBERS

Ford did a great job designing the '05 Mustang. Everything comes apart so easily, it almost seems like it was designed by racers. To some, a tubular K-member may seem like a complicated and difficult installation, however in the '05 Mustang it can be done in 2 hours with hand tools!

Our tubular K-member uses an integrated mount system, saving up to 5 lbs. over the competitions' designs. The OE K-member with motor mounts weighs 44 lbs. while our integrated design weighs only 24 lbs., a 20 lb. weight reduction. Designed to be used with BMR or factory A-arms and spindles. Fits V6 and V8 models.

BMR also answers your requests with specialized versions of our K-members. We make K-members for manual rack conversions, lowered motor mounts for more supercharger clearance, conversion K-members for traditional Windsor motor transplants, etc.

As seen in the images below, it also provides additional room for headers and turbo systems. Available in Black Hammertone or red powdercoat.

NOTE: BMR K-member replaces the heavy OE hydraulic motor mounts with high durometer polyurethane bushings resulting in increased noise transmission into the body. These bushings are designed for minimal flex and are identical in size and durometer to what is used in Prothane and Steeda's billet motor mounts (the only difference is that they are integrated into the K-member design) It is important to note that decreased motor movement from stiffer motor mounts will create additional noise and vibration into the body.

KM009 Race Tubular K-member with no motor mount provisions - OE power rack $449.95
KM009-1 Race Tubular K-member with no motor mount provisions - manual Pinto-style rack (requires part number RP001 or RP002 below) $449.95

KM010-1 Tubular K-member - manual Pinto style rack (requires part number RP001 or RP002 below) (not for use on GT500) $499.95
KM011 Tubular K-member - 1/2" lowered motor mounts for supercharger clearance - OE power rack (GT or GT500) $499.95
KM011-1 Tubular K-member - 1/2" lowered motor mounts for supercharger clearance - manual Pinto style rack (requires part number RP001 or RP002 below) (GT or GT500) $499.95
RP001 Widened offset Flaming River rack and pinion for use with KM009-1, KM010-1, KM011-1 $329.95

BUMP STEER KIT
Altering ride height can result in unwanted toe change during suspension travel. This is known as bump steer. Bumpsteer kits allow the user to alter the tie rod position on the spindle to correct bump steer. Kit comes complete with billet aluminum tie rod adjusters, chrome moly QA1 XR series rod ends, billet steel tie rod adapters, and six spacers in varying thicknesses. NOTE: For OE racks only. Will not fit manual racks.
BAX105 2005-Present Mustang Tie Rod Bump Steer Kit $149.95 pr.

CONTROL ARM RELOCATION BRACKETS

These brackets in conjunction with our tubular control arms have already produced 1.33 60 foot times!

A vehicles "Instant Center" determines it's ability to transfer weight properly upon acceleration. The angle of the upper and lower control arms produces an intersect point that initiates this weight transfer. With fixed control arm mounting points, it is not possible to tune this instant center position in the chassis. Our control arm relocation brackets provide additional rear mounting holes that allow you to alter the instant center by varying the control arm angles. This mod is recommended for any type of racing and should also be performed if the vehicle is lowered to correct the rear suspension geometry. Mounting hardware included. Available in Black Hammertone or red powdercoat. NOTE: It is necessary to weld the brackets in place if the vehicle will be drag raced.

CAB005 Bolt-in Control Arm Relocation Brackets $134.95 pr.

UPPER CONTROL ARM MOUNT

Our upper control arm mount is a direct replacement for the OE piece and requires no drilling or welding to install. The last generation Fox body Mustangs had upper control arm mounts incorporated into the frame. They also had two upper control arms sharing the load but drag racers were continually ripping the mounts off of the frame when racing. The solution for those cars was to weld reinforcement plates onto the frame. This new Mustang platform only has one upper control arm and the mount is only bolted into place. Our upper mount is made from heavy duty 1/4" plate and can be either bolted or welded into place. Additionally it has dual control arm mounting points for changing instant center. Available in Black Hammertone or red powdercoat.

UCM001 Upper Control Arm Mount $135.95

UPPER PANHARD ROD SUPPORT
Since the panhard rod is responsible for keeping the rear end centered in the chassis, their is a significant load placed on the panhard rod mounts during cornering. Due to this load, Ford reinforced the mount with a vertical brace that parallels the panhard rod. Unfortunately this brace is little more than stamped, light gauge metal and does little for reinforcement. Our boxed tube support reinforces this critical mount to prevent deflection and can be easily installed in less than 1 hour. The passenger side has a slight bend for additional exhaust clearance. Available in Black Hammertone or red powdercoat.
PHR007S Upper Panhard Rod Support $109.95

LIGHTWEIGHT TUBULAR RADIATOR SUPPORT/SWAYBAR DELETE
Click to see a larger image

Remove 26.5 lbs. off the front end!

If you are drag racing your new Mustang and don't need a front sway bar, our crossmember can save an additional 11 lbs. off the front end. The factory radiator crossmember is built overly strong because it must also support the additional loads of the front sway bar. With the swaybar removed, the crossmember only needs to support the weight of the radiator. Our lightweight crossmember only weighs 5.5 lbs. as compared the OE 16.5 lbs. Combined with sway bar removal, expect a 26.5 Lb. weight reduction!

Easy 30-45 minute install. Allows the use of the factory bumper cover support plastic. Available in Black Hammertone or red powdercoat.

RS002 Tubular Radiator Support $169.95

A-ARM SUPPORT

This brace bolts to the rear mount of the front A-arms, tying the two legs of the K-member together. By adding additional support to this assembly, A-arm stability is increased due to minimized mount deflection. Available in Black Hammertone or red powdercoat. NOTE: not compatible with Canton oil pans.

AAS001 Front A-arm Support Brace $59.95
