TUBULAR A-ARMS
|
BMR tubular
A-arms are a lightweight alternative to your factory stamped
steel arms. We offer them in two styles, standard and adjustable.
Both models feature CNC machined rear pivot points, heavy
duty 1.25" DOM tubing, and new ball joints sourced
from Fords OE supplier. Unlike our competitors, these A-arms
are also compatible with your OE K-member.
|
While both models are considered
"streetable", our standard version is what
we recommend as it will produce the least amount of
road noise. This version is assembled with high durometer
internally fluted polyurethane bushings with grease
fittings at both mounts. 11.2 lbs. lighter than stock.
|
|
The adjustable version
is recommended for drag race or road race applications
due to the elevated noise transmission from spherical
rod ends and Delrin bushings. Assembled with a large
3/4" QA1 XR series Teflon lined rod end on the
main tube and an internally greased Delrin bushing on
the rear, this version allows camber and caster adjustment
not possible with OE arms. Adjustable version provides
enough adjustment for up to 1.125" overall narrower
track width(9/16" per side). 9.6 lbs. lighter than
stock. |

| Altering ride height can result in unwanted
toe change during suspension travel. This is known as bump
steer. Bumpsteer kits allow the user to alter the tie rod
position on the spindle to correct bump steer. Kit comes complete
with billet aluminum tie rod adjusters, chrome moly QA1 XR
series rod ends, billet steel tie rod adapters, and six spacers
in varying thicknesses. |

TUBULAR LOWER
CONTROL ARMS
|
|
| Stock control arms are marginal at best.
Bushing deflection combined with control arm flex creates
erratic handling and inconsistent rear end stability when
subjected to the added loads of performance driving. All of
our control arms are TIG welded and utilize either greaseable
90 durometer spiral fluted polyurethane bushings or Teflon
lined HD spherical bearings by QA1. Our CNC machined adjusters
are made from 4130 chromoly and have rolled threads. All rod
end spacers are 304 stainless. You won't find better quality
components. Additiionally, our control arms retain the factory
designed rear offset, a necessity others overlook resulting
in split, binding bushings. Available in Black
Hammertone or red powdercoat. |

| The single upper control arm is responsible
for maintaining pinion angle and preventing axle counter-rotation.
This "3 link" style suspension is ideal for autocross
and road race applications as it allows the most articulation
possible with a solid axle. For drag racing, however, the
single, centered link becomes a weak point as the arm is only
one inch thick in the middle and made from light gauge, stamped
steel. Our upper control arm is made from 1 5/8" .120
wall DOM tube and is MIG welded. They are available with polyurethane
bushings or spherical bearings. Available in Black
Hammertone or red powdercoat. |

DUAL-DUROMETER REAREND BUSHING
|
|
|
|
3 link suspensions place excessive loads
on the upper link bushings. In the S197 Mustang, two bushings
are responsible for handling the same torque load that 4
bushings had done before. Additionally, these bushings are
subjected to more "twist" than before since the
rear end can better articulate as a 3 link design. In order
to allow free articulation, the OE rearend bushing is designed
to flex. This flex is great for handling but under straight
line acceleration, it contributes to wheelhop and inconsistant
launch characteristics.
BMR offers a no-compronise solution with
it's dual durometer 5 piece polyurethane replacement bushing.
By designing the bushing as a multi-piece unit, it allowed
them to keep the inside portion stiff for great straightline
acceleration load and the outside portions soft for bind-free
handling. NOTE: requires use of existing bushing shell

The panhard rod is responsible for locating
the rear end side-to-side in the chassis. Factory panhard
rods are made with small diameter tubing and rubber bushings
that allow deflection under load. BMR panhard rods are all
made from larger diameter 1.25", heavy wall DOM tubing
and utilize either greaseable polyurethane bushings or HD
spherical bearings by QA1. The adjustable versions use left-hand
and right-hand thread to allow easy "on-car" adjustment.
Our CNC machined adjusters are made from 4130 chromoly and
have rolled threads. All rod end spacers are 304 stainless.
You won't find better quality pieces.
By nature, a panhard rod will alter rear
end position as ride height changes. This makes it necesarry
to use an adjustable panhard rod when lowering your vehicle
as it allows you to re-center the rear end. Adjustable panhard
rods also become a "must-have" part if you are
trying to fit the widest tires possible in the wheelwell.
Available in Black
Hammertone or red powdercoat.

| It has always been common practice
to reinforce Ford's 8.8" rearend with a stronger, cast
rear cover. Unfortunately, with the '05 model, the panhard
rod prevents this. BMR has an easy solution. Our relocation
bracket moves the drivers side of the panhard rod to the back
of the OE mount, providing 1" of additional clearance.
Installation is simple and rear end geometry remains unaffected.
We offer the bracket by itself or in our complete kit shown
above. Available in Black

BMR sway-bars decrease
body roll in your 2005+ Mustang resulting in a more predictable,
neutrally balanced suspension. Our sway-bars are made from
high quality, cold formed aircraft spec tubing which allows
the bar to resist torsional fatique much better than hot formed
bars. Front swaybar is a lightweight, hollow 35mm bar while
the rear is solid 22mm. All necessary bushings and hardware
included. Available in Black
Hammertone or red powdercoat. NOTE: BMR rear swaybars
are not compatible with convertible models unless the additional
OE convertible bracing is removed. |

The factory swaybar mounts won't clear
a 15" drag wheel. Until now, racers have been cutting
the brackets leaving no option other than eliminating the
swaybar. These all stainless brackets allow the user to
relocate the swaybar further up on the bracket. While the
OE bracket must still be cut, our kit provides a new mounting
point for the swaybar. Easy 1-2 hour job, hardware and instructions
included.

Rear anti-roll bars have been proven
to eliminate torque steer and body roll during hard
launches and will drastically improve the cars consistency
as well as stability going down the track. The new
Mustang chassis is even more susceptable to launch
inconsistencies with only one, center mounted upper
control arm. BMR's simple design allows it to work
with stock or aftermarket rear end housings and it
will clear all aftermarket exhausts and suspension
components. Available in Black
Hammertone or red powdercoat. NOTE: Recommended
for drag race applications only.

PROGRESSIVE LOWERING
SPRINGS
|
|
|
BMR springs are specifically designed to
provide optimal handling without sacrificing ride quality.
The front springs are progressive wound to provide variable
rates. The soft portion of the progressive winding maintains
near OE ride quality. When the suspension is loaded during
aggressive cornering, the springs enter into the stiffer
portion of the spring. We have designed additional spring
rate into this portion of the spring for better control
and reduced body roll. The rear springs are linear wound
with the same proven spring rate as OE. Part number SP009
will lower the front 1.25" and the rear 1.5",
"levelling" the car.
|
|
BMR
rear springs retain the factory "hourglass"
shape designed by Ford engineers. This important feature
provides a "variable natural frequency" in
the spring to help counteract damaging wheelhop. This
is a feature of the OE springs often overlooked by other
companies simply because they don't realize it's benefits
in multi-purpose applications. |
Beware of low cost springs that sag over
time. BMR springs are cold wound from high tensile strength
chrome-silicon to provide the longest lasting, most consistent
rate possible without long term "memory" loss.
Always check the spring manufacturers warranty before purchasing,
you definitely get what you pay for. BMR provides a lifetime
warranty against spring sag.
NOTE: Sold in BMR red only.

CAMBER BOLTS
BMR's 2 degree camber
bolts are used for adjusting camber on the OE and
aftermarket struts. The 2005+ Mustang has no camber
adjustment from the factory. When lowered 1"
or more, the car begins to develop negative camber
resulting in premature tire wear. It is possible to
gain 2 degrees of camber with one pair of bolts. If
you need additional camber adjustment, 2 pairs of
bolts can be used and will allow 4 degrees total.
Priced per pair.

TOKICO D-SPEC
ADJUSTABLE STRUTS AND SHOCKS
|
|
TOKICO’s D-Spec Series adjustable shock
is a multi-use product that’s the result of sophisticated
piston and valving design. In addition, it utilizes a unique
variable-aperture bypass, which is controlled by an adjustable
slide valve. D-Spec (damping specific) adjustments change
both rebound and compression damping simultaneously. Between
maximum soft and hard settings, the D-Spec is infinitely
adjustable. D-Spec is TOKICIO’s new extra-wide range adjustable
damping system. Its tuning range makes it possible to use
D-Spec for the street, auto-cross, drag racing and even
road racing.
D-Spec shocks and struts are sold in sets
of four. Each set includes a manual explaining the adjustment
process as well as covering suspension tuning tips.
