DRIVESHAFT SAFETY LOOP

Most tracks require a driveshaft safety loop for cars running faster than 12.99 in the quarter. This NHRA approved loop bolts onto the floorpan using existing floorpan mounting holes. No drilling or welding required. Tunnel crossbrace is designed with a drop down to accomodate lower aftermarket exhausts and y-pipes. Available in Black Hammertone or red powdercoat. NOTE: Not intended for convertibles, will not fit with BMR Trak Pak. Due to the infinite variations of exhaust combinations, aftermarket driveshafts and aftermarket torque arms, this loop may not fit your particular application without shimming and/or exhaust alteration.

TUNNEL BRACE

 

Strengthen the floorpan and reinforce the driveshaft tunnel with a BMR tunnel brace. Replaces existing stamped brace and requires no welding or holes to drill. Made with 3/16" mounting plates and heavy duty 1" tubing for maximum rigidity. NOTE - WILL NOT FIT CONVERTIBLE CHASSIS. NOT COMPATIBLE WITH BMR TRAK PAK. Reduce chassis flex to a minimum and increase your handling capabilities with a set of BMR subframe connectors. These weld-in subframe connectors fit 1993-2002 F-bodies and will work with all aftermarket exhaust systems. All mounting plates are made from either 3/16" or 1/4" laser cut plates for the ultimate in strength. Boxed connectors use 2" square tubing while tubular connectors use 1-5/8" roll cage tubing. Available in Black Hammertone or red powdercoat.

Enjoy the same features as the above when using BMR's convertible subframe connectors. While GM attempted to reinforce the convertibles floorpan with formed sheetmetal, nothing increases chassis rigidity like a pair of subframe connectors. Constructed with 1-5/8" rollcage tubing and laser cut, 1/4" weld plates, these subframe connectors will change the "feel" of your convertible. Available in Black Hammertone or red powdercoat.

TUBULAR K-MEMBERS

 

BMR Tubular K-members are designed to provide a lightweight alternative to the factory K-member as well as provide additional clearance for aftermarket headers and turbo systems. Our unique design on our V8 models feature integrated frame stands that replace the factory cast iron frame stands. This additional weight reduction allows us to use larger diameter tubing and thicker mounting plates for additional strength over the competition. This means that you can use the K-member for street use, road race, autocross, or drag strip use. BMR K-members are built exclusively using larger diameter 1-5/8" x .120" and 1-1/4" x .095" tubing yet still remain up to 7.5 lbs. lighter than the competitions due to our integrated mount design. Using our tubular K-member and upper/lower a-arm set, expect a minimum weight reduction of 42 lbs. Combine this with a coil-over style spring/shock combo and a lightweight front brake setup and lose over 100 lbs. off the front end! Available in Black Hammertone or red powdercoat.

BMR also answers your requests with specialized versions of our K-members. We make K-members for manual rack conversions, high clearance variations for turbo downpipes, conversion K-members for traditional small and big block motor transplants, etc.

The LT1 design integrates the driver side cast iron frame stand and the passenger side motor mount into the k-member. These two items alone weigh 8 lbs. and are eliminated when using our k-member. Total K-member weight including drivers frame stand and passenger motor mount is 24.5 lbs.!

NOTE: Due to motor mount design, these K-members are not compatible with shorty headers.

The LS1 K-Member eliminates both cast iron motor stands by using a tubular integrated design. This unique design allows an even further weight reduction than anything our competitors have to offer. BMR BOLT-IN MANUAL RACK AND PINION CONVERSION KITS

BMR started from a clean slate when they developed their manual rack conversion kit. The industry standard has long been to use the Pinto-style rack and pinion when manual steering is required. They are rugged, lightweight and very compact. The aftermarket has installed them on practically every car out there and a lot of them work just fine. What most people don't understand is that one rack doesn't fit all regardless of what people tell you. A Pinto rack installed on a fourth generation F-car will create excessive bump-steer unless measures are taken to correct the problem. The overall distance between the inner tie rod pivot points should match the overall distance between the A-arm pivot points. Any variation to this will cause the tie rods and A-arms to swing on two seperate arcs. This means the vehicles toe will change as the suspension travels up and down, otherwise known as bump steer.

The fourth generation F-body A-arms pivot from a width that is 2 inches wider than the inner tie rod pivot points of a Pinto-style rack and pinion. To compensate for this, BMR provides a custom width rack just for this application. Another benefit to designing from the ground up is that the rack extension has been biased to the passenger side of the vehicle. By doing so, the steering shaft is relocated an additional inch to the drivers side allowing much improved header clearance. With this kit you can use up to 2" primary tube headers without modification!

Other components in the kit include Flaming Rivers' billet, bearing-style u-joints custom sized to the OE steering shaft, billet rack mount adapter and double-threaded tie rod ends. We use QA1 XR series rod ends and CNC machined bump spacers. This is a straight forward bolt-in installation requiring no fabrication or welding. All mounting hardware and installation instructions included.

BMR makes manual rack conversions for practically any application. Our kit number RK002 fits stock K-members or aftermarket K-members designed for the factory rack. Kit RK001 fits BMR -1 series K-members only.

Strengthen your front subframe assembly and minimize tower deflection by tying the shock mounts together. Standard model is made with strong 1/4" mounting plates and 1.25" x .095" tubing while the chrome moly version is 1.25" x .065" tubing to insure zero deflection under load. TORQUE ARM RELOCATION KIT

Take the load off of your transmission tailshaft by relocating the torque arm mount with this kit from BMR. This kit replaces your transmission crossmember with a stronger tubular piece that also has an integrated torque arm mount. The mount itself is adjustable up and down to allow easy "instant center" adjustment. Made from heavy wall DOM tubing and 1/4" mounting plates, all hardware included. Available in Black Hammertone or red powdercoat.

NOTE: As shipped, this part is designed to work with BMR torque arms only. It may be used with stock or other brands by simply replacing the bushing with the compatible unit. Example: A Random Technology torque arm will require the use of a Random Technology bushing.
